The painting depicts the Madonna and Child sitting on a throne of clouds. A group of angels soars to crown her in an atmosphere of diffused and diaphanous light. The wonderful panel in question has been attributed by critics to Stefano Danedi, known as Montalto, at the beginning of his artistic career, a period particularly influenced by the style of the great Lombard masters such as Francesco Cairo (1607 - 1665), Julius Caesar Procaccini (1574 - 1625) And Pier Francesco Mazzucchelli, known as Morazzone (1573 - 1626).
